happy friggin' birthday...

So today's the magical day I turn 25. I'm not gonna lie, I've been dreading it since Jan. 1st of this year. For some reason, 25 seemed so much older and...whatever. There are a few reasons I've been cringing at this mystical number, and I'm not going to go into that. Just gonna say that today has been excellent...and if the next 364 days are anything like today was, this'll be my best year yet! Anyways, I love birthdays, despite getting older, and today was terrific from beginning to end. I'll be sure to post some pics (as soon as I can get them from my friends). As for now, I'm just gonna post a poem one of my terrific friends wrote for me in honor of today. Here goes...

25
Getting older can be frightening
The sad thing is, it happens like lightning
One minute you're 5, just starting school
And the next thing you're 25, just trying to keep cool
25 you say, now that is OLD!
But hey, you still manage to look like Gold!
At 25 you're done with college
And you're loaded with tons of knowledge
You've become a Master at what you do
So it makes it easy to poo
Cuz now you can afford the good toilet paper
You wipe and 'say see you later, alligator'
Off to your busy social life
To try to make yourself a wife
A difficult endeavor for you to do
For not many can be found that measure up to you
I'm not talking about the height issue
You'll date the short ones if we push you
It's just hard to find one who can measure up
To how completely you fill the cup
It will be a good year
So don't you fear
The years only get shorter
So don't you loiter
Make the best of it
So in the end you don't look like #$!@!
Scotland here comes Gina
Looking oh so fina
That's Spanish for fine
I just had to make a rhyme
She's been to the gym just about every day
And is starting to wonder is Elvis GAY?
But pay no attention to that little man
Here comes Gina to take her stand
Idaho Falls has never been so lucky
To have such a fine little ducky

So there it is; it's a masterpiece, really. It doesn't get more personal than that! I'm sure none of you appreciate it as much as I do; it's loaded with inside jokes and such...but still...this poem is golden! I'm lovin' it! Thanks, dear poet friend, for the personal gift. It helped to make my special day oh, so wonderful!

Go Jazz, GO!!!

WOW! That was a good game last night! No wait...it wasn't really that great. I could not believe all the turn-overs we gave to Golden State. And what was with us missing 7 free-throws in a row?!? That just mad me sick. However...I still love my team. And it's not just because we came out on top. We got our act together at the very end (like we've been doing lately).

As for GS Warriors; they have pretty much earned my hatred. I'm basically sick of all the flagrant fouls. I'm not saying that the Jazz doesn't foul; on the contrary, we foul lots. And lots. At least we're not pricks about it though. Each and every time GS had a foul called on them, they scowled and ripped into the referees. Baron Davis is a whiner. Any time they showed Barnes' face, he had a furrowed brow and looked about to cry. And I'm pretty sure that my heart sang when Jackson got a flagrant AND a techincal foul in the same call; I've never seen that happen before! Go ahead and keep talking, buddy...and enjoy the rest of the game from the sideline.

Anyways, I think the better team came out on top. So excited for my Utah Jazz!
