my fourth of july weekend was fabulous. and long. (every. single. one of my thursday clients canceled, so my holiday weekend started wednesday evening. go me.) as i said, i don't recall the details, but i know that i got some stuff done that needed to be done, as well as chillaxin' with friends. it was stellar.
and now, without further ado...the pictures:
the new and improved handsome rob;washed and waxed and sporting his new nose bra
watched the parade with amber and bob (who were down from AK!)we wore studly patriotic hats.
this is a picture of me and caleb (amber's oldest)
went to lunch and a movie (how to train your dragon) with some friends.brooker and i were "bracelet buddies"
we went to a bbq and i tried sauerkraut for the first time.it's not good. not even kind of...
(don't worry, i tried it on a bratwurst for realsies)
brooke, lindsey and me at the fireworks show...on monday, i went to fall creek with a few friends. and here are the pictures to prove it:
backseat girls (brooker, keri, ashley)
...and the backseat buddy, mr. banana
the falls...
hiking to the falls...
brookie and keri in the grotto...
jumping in...
it was fun (and COLD!)after exploring the falls and jumping into the cold water a time or two, we decided to head back up to the car for our picnic lunch; keri, brookie and i went up the falls, and brooker and ashley took another route up.
making our way up...
i look completely natural in this picture, don't i?
keep on moving...!

keep on moving...!my legs were so tired after hiking up the falls that playing catcher at the softball game that night was more difficult than usual...but it was so much fun (both the falls and the softball)!

I love ALL of this. You've had a fun couple of weeks and I've been able to be a part of most of it! Yee Haw!
Umm ... it kinda looks like I'm gonna punch you in the boob in our bracelet buddies picture. Sorry 'bout that.
Now I really want to watch that Friends episode.
Two Aarons. We're ALL about duplicate names in our circle, eh?
I'm glad you tried sauerkraut ON something. Kimball's convinced she hates avocados because she nibbled on a slice without anything with it. Even avocado lovers put them on a sammich! Just sayin' ... although I'm not sure why I'm sayin'. It happens a lot.
so beautiful. I miss Idaho this time of year.
Idaho is beautiful. I guess I've just never thought of it that way, it has always just been the place where potatos come from! I might have to add it to the list of moving contenders. Tell me how hot does it get?
@Rhonda: It sometimes gets in the 90s, sometimes warmer (depending on the year). It really is a lovely place; I live super close to Yellowstone and Jackson Hole. There are other parts of the state that are worth skipping, though. Also, I'm headed up to Couer d'Alene (the panhandle) in about a month; I've never been there before, but I'm VERY excited. I looked at pictures and it's GORGEOUS!
12-1. attagirl. go Team G.O.!
I can appreciate your opinion on sauerkraut... only because you actually tried it. I of course politely disagree and love you anyway!
What a fab time you've been having! I love your blog, Gina, 'cos it always reminds me of ME years ago, pre kids, into everything. Of course, I'm still me, just with the entourage now so life has slowed down a bit. Thanks for sharing.
I think you should give sauerkraut one more try...but on a reuben. A real reuben, not the one you can get at Arby's. Then let me know. Also, some brands are not as good as others.
There are no points in baseball (or the wussier version of softball). They're called RUNS. As in, Gina ate some bad sauerkraut and got the runs.
