Again.
I really like Brigham City and my people there.
I spent my Friday morning with Vance, Julie and Jane while the rest of our family were at work. Vance and I had breakfast burritos at Beto's (something of a tradition when I go home for a visit). Jane got the brilliant idea to chew on a lime wedge. After Vance snapped some wonderful pictures, we gave another lime wedge to Julie.
Our mother has called it "child abuse" to give a lime wedge to a 19-month-old for our own entertainment. I think that's a bit harsh. Juvenile? DEFINITELY. But abusive? Nah.
For further proof of my immaturity, let me tell you that I laugh every time I think of Jane and Jules chomping down on the lime wedges, and the faces they pulled. Hahahah!

I'm telling you, it was all her idea. More than once, even.

Haha! That, my friends, is genuine sour-face.

CHOMP!

Even with a sour-face, she's so cute.
I'm SO GLAD Vance's phone takes rapid-fire photos...
Later on we dropped Jane off to play with Stella and ran an errand or two, and then we went back to chill at Vance's house.
I hadn't done my eye makeup yet, so I thought I'd get around to it while Vance showed me some music on his iTunes library.
And that's when Juliebug became my official shadow. She wanted to watch me put on my makeup. But not from down around my knees; she wanted an up-close view.
I must say, putting on my makeup took quite a bit longer than usual with Julie either in my left arm or else perched right in front of me as I did my eyeliner. (I need two hands for that if I don't want to look clownish.)

Of course she wanted to wear some, so I put on my almost-invisible base color of eye shadow. I daresay Julie loved it.

I mean...does it get much cuter than this?
Later that afternoon, I drove to Layton to visit with Aaron and Amy for a bit. Seth had a friend over and wanted nothing to do with me. (So happy to have reached the point where I'm not cool enough for my sweet Seth in certain company. Oh well.) Jackson was in and out, demanding chocolate (his one true love :), and Emmett would sometimes snuggle me, and sometimes run away. It was nice to visit with A & A, though.
AND THEN...I made my way to SLC and met up with Brooker, Allyson and Blair. We shopped for a bit at City Creek, then had dinner at Settebello with Annie; the company was stellar and the pizza was divine.

I ate the entire thing and I don't even feel bad about it. (Their crust and toppings are light and delicious!)

Then we went next door and ate some gelato. Annie and I got the "yogurt and berries" flavor, and I was basically in heaven.
After having eaten the pizza, I felt perfect. After the gelato, I questioned my sanity, and I was certain that "this is what it feels like to die of food!" But then I didn't die, and walking around helped me feel better. Quickly.
We said our goodbyes to Annie, who had other plans, and Allyson, Blair, Brooke and I went to a concert at In The Venue. (The "in" part of the name of the venue throws me off a bit.)
The concert was Walk Off The Earth. Do you know of them? They are rad. You may have seen their music video where five people are playing one guitar while they cover the song Somebody That I Used to Know, maybe? I really want to embed some of their music videos on here, but that option has been disabled, which is a total bummer. I think my favorite songs are Red Hands, Little Boxes, and Summer Vibe. Also, the guy with the short hair and the muscley arms (the first singer in "Little Boxes" wearing the blue tee?) is kind of super handsome. (He may or may not have been a bit distracting unto me off and on throughout the concert.)
Oh, look! I found a video I can embed!
And now some (not terrific) pictures from the concert.

I told you they were blurry. But, hey, that's the hotty on the far right. He was wearing a Transformer's tee shirt.

And here are five people on one guitar...

This was snatched from WOTE's facebook page, I do believe. And, no, we cannot be seen in this photo.

The balls obstructed our view of the stage, but they were fun anyway.
After the concert, I headed to my folks' place in Brigham City, then I spent a good portion of the next day with Vance and family (buying music and such).
Saturday evening I went to Jeanna's for a potluck and to watch the Olympics. Driving back to I.F. is never my favorite thing; I totally wish I had the super power of teleportation or to disaparition, but alas I'm a mere mortal/muggle...
BUT! There was a gorgeous sunset during most of my drive home, so I had to pull over to snap a few pictures...

Northwest-ish.
And now the report of my stellar weekend is complete.
Over and out.

Just seeing pictures of the little girls eating limes made my salivary glands go into overdrive! ha ha
First of all, I Love WOTE and had no idea they were here! Jealous!
Second, those are some fabulous sour faces! My kids have been very disappointing in this area. They like limes. It provides a little consolation to see the sour faces of others!
