I'm in Brigham City right now, awaiting the arrival of the youngest O. son. I pulled into town right around 7pm yesterday, and I was so happy and excited!However...as you can tell by the title of this post (and the large frowny face to your left), something went awry...
Brent called last night around midnight (our time) to tell my folks that his flight left Belem late enough that he missed his connecting flight in Manaus. So he's stuck in Brazil until tonight; the airline (whose fault it is) got Brent another flight out, but it doesn't leave until 24 hours after his original flight.
So that means he won't be in Utah until 1:10pm TOMORROW. We're all bummed.
Especially Brent, I'm sure. He's all alone (techincally). There were 3 other Americans on the flight, but Brent is the only missionary. The airline got hotel accomodations for them, but only 2 rooms between the 4 people; Brent opted to stay at the airport. I'm sad for him.
Oh well. I guess the reunion tomorrow will be that much sweeter, right?

boo for delayed flights....but yay for the prolonged anticipation! its just longer to look forward to it......sorta...anyway, enjoy the time with the fam!
Lame!!
That sucks...
I think that's totally dumb of the airport too that they didn't get their own rooms. That's just wrong.
Greetings to The Brent when you see him... like he'd remember me but you know. :)
What?? How sad!
Sorry to hear, but at least it was only one day and not two or more! Tell the fam "Hi" and enjoy seeing Brent when he gets here!
Ahhh! How sad! Waiting is the worst! Can't wait to hear a report on how it all turned out once he has finally made it!
I can't believe they didn't all get their own rooms too....It's not like they were in the same party flying together. He should write a note to the airline and get some free vouchers out of it. :)
That stinks, he will be there soon :( My heart goes out to you though!
As for my height, its 5'5, all my cousins average anywhere from 6 feet to 6'7 and that includes the girls!
