march madness...

I took a quick trip home this past weekend. Because of cancellations and no-shows (grr!) I was able to leave IF by 3:40 on Thursday. (Yeehaw!)

'Twas a fun weekend...

Thursday: I chilled with Abby and Brent (while Vance and Dad focused on March Madness). We watched Lars and the Real Girl. Sad movie. But good. (I never knew Ryan Gosling was such a great actor!)

Friday: I raked the front lawn with Vance...and Dad. Somehow it made my little (left) bicep hurt--curious. I also got my hair did by Lindsay the Great. Just a trim-aroo and color. Made some homemade wheat bread (yum-o!). And went to O-town with Mom, Dad, Vance and Abby while Brent recuperated from his 24 hour illness.

Saturday: MY BOYS CAME TO SEE ME! -It was also lovely to chat with Aaron and Amy. Of course.
Vance and the boys playing in Goose's truck.
Seriously, a favorite past-time for Jackson and Seth.

One of the two handsomest little boys in the WORLD!

We had lots of fun with bubbles...

Lunchtime with Amy and Jackson.
(Oh my heck, her hair is so cute!)

Jackson was laughing SO HARD over something silly.
I adore the sound of his laughter...

PS I actually filled out my own little bracket in this whole March Madness business. I "played" for the first time 2 years ago and that went badly. Serious. Bad news. But...now I know what those little numbers to the side mean, so I didn't end up having a team ranked somewhere around 14-15 make it to the Final Four. Not this year! -Not that I know what's really going on anyway. I was happy that Aaron invited me to join his tournament group. It's just between the Orgill boys (including Uncle Shawn)...and me and Amy. I'm sure I won't win, but I'm shocked that I'm somewhere in the middle. It's still too early to tell who will win (although I'm sure it won't be Dad...his "champion" team lost in the first round). But I'm having fun with it.

Who knew?

I so don't do march madness, because I don't know anything about it. ha ha! I saw Lars, too. Ryan Gosling is good, but that movie was a little odd.

I think I got more choked up at Lars and the Real Girl then you did, which is not normal for me, and definitely not a guy thing.
Yeah, those boys are adorable. I want a puppy of my own.

That movie is seriously one of my all-time faves. The premise sounds so weird and sleazy, but it's just really sweet, and kind of inspiring. I don't know why you'd describe it as sad.

The reason Jackson is laughing so hard is that I kept lifting his legs up and Vance kept spanking his butt, and he kept wanting him to do it, even after his legs were pretty pink. Hard to say what he's going to enjoy, or why.

That is exciting about the Basketball thing and looking at your little nephews makes me excited for the upcoming little ones in my life!

I loved Lars and the Real Girl - I had refrained from checking it out because I just thought it was gonna be some raunchy comedy and I wasn't in the mood for it.

But fate intervened. I was talking to my friend Steve. The conversation turned to motion pictures - as they usually do. He had mentioned that he had really enjoyed Lars and the Real Girl - I told him my prejudice against it and said: Bob, trust me. You will enjoy it.

He didn't try to explain what the movie was about or anything - he just told me that I would like it. So while the squaw was away on one of her trips - I rented the movie.

Having trouble sleeping while she's gone - I put the movie in at 1:00 AM. When it was over at 3ish - there I was with my bowl of popcorn and bawling like a baby. Lars reminded me of one of my college roommates who - like Lars came out of his shell. I think that is what put me over the edge, and that is was the middle of the night.

Sorry about the comment thing. I had hidden it and then I selected to show it and it would not do it, so I had to totally fiddle with a bunch of stuff before it would come back, but it is there now, so go and enter!

Those boys are too fun! You've got a great family. And I love your header! PERFECT!
