Okay, so you already know about the issues I had with TSA...but that was only the beginning, folks.
*Although? I did text my mama and my brother Vance about it, and his response killed me: "Well what you call an inconvenient pat down, some may call free hot action. Most places charge for that you lucky girl." Just gotta say, I'm super glad Vance started texting; he's witty both in person and via text!
Anyway, Jami's Aunt Ramona picked us up at the Long Beach airport and drove us to her lovely home near Anaheim, where we unpacked and got settled. When Uncle Jack got home from playing tennis, the four of us went to a stellar place called Scotty's Diner for a late breakfast. (Let's be honest, it was Second Breakfast for me, as I had been up since 3:30am MST.)
We ended up driving...to some mega-mall and we shopped. (Mostly, Jami and I tried on clothings that we'd never think of actually buying, which ended up being super fun, in case you were wondering.)
pleather pants and a sequin jacket: i wonder if i made the right choice in not purchasing this outfit??
gold and pink sequin dress with gold(ish) leggings this looked less bad on her than i was hoping for ;)
*I also sent Vance a picture text of the pleather pants and asked his opinion on whether or not I should by them. He responded with "How could you not? I mean if you're brave enough to try em on..." He really is so full of wisdom. He sent another text saying, "One more thought, if you don't buy them you won't find them again in I.F." Yeah. I'm super glad Vance is now a texter...
We spent the rest of the evening relaxing in the hot tub, eating a scrumptious homemade meal, and visiting with Jack and Ramona. Day one: chill.
Next day (Friday) was devoted to the magical world of Disney!!! In honesty, Jami and I were not expecting it to be so dang busy. (Last time I went in the middle of July, and it was quite a bit less busy then than it was this time around; what the heck is that all about?!) Also, we didn't get the Fast Passes (error!), so we spent LOTS of time waiting in lines...
But it was still a good time! We lucked out, and our first time on the California Screamin' (at California Adventures) Jami and I sat in the very front of the roller coaster, and it. was. RIDICULOUS! Holy crap, I don't know if I've ever screamed that loud before in my life, for such a long period of time. (My throat hurt afterwards, not gonna lie.)

NOTICE! i should've paid more attention to this sign the first time around. (you'll understand when you see the next picture, i assure you)
i told you: i screamed good and loud. and long. and hard. apparently i'm not a pretty screamer?
our second time on the same ride; this one looks more like we're both actually enjoying it!
Also, Jami had never been on the Tower of Terror before, and she was kind of...nervous about it? She ended up liking it. I'm pretty sure...
waiting to board...
oh, but aren't we cute?
yep. jami's smiling, which is a positive indication of pleasure, so i've been made to understand.
So...next time I go to Disneyland (I'm pretty sure there will be a next time, Mama), I'm totally going to pay the extra money and get the Fast Pass. Because...while we were at Disney for 10 hours, we only went on 8 rides. And that seems wrong, don't you think??(Obviously, we didn't take many pictures of...waiting.)
I think I'm going to end it here for the time being...I'll do another post (to finish up the trip) soon!
Over and out.

I love it! I'm so glad you had a good time. Did you eat a Churro? If not, I will eat one for you next week in Disney World. Definitely do fast pass next time, it saves so much time! Love you, Gina Beanies.
From the vaults of the 1980's... those clothes would only look good on David Bowie. And I use the term "good" lightly.
I'm so sorry about only the 8 rides. That does seem wrong. I can't help but notice that you and Jamie often find opportunities to dress up in stores. How fun!
