Alright...about a week and a half ago, Brooke and I got online to check out some of the cool sites we're gonna see in Chicago. We decided to look up the Urban Arts Festival where OK Go is going to perform their little hearts out for yours truly. Excitement was at its peak! And then we read the dreaded words...the concert is a ticketed event for Columbia students and faculty only. What the...?! Insert swearwordhere! OK Go is our fave band; Lisa and I saw them in concert at SaltAir last March, and they rocked our socks off! This little tidbit of information ruined my day...for an hour, at least. I nearly wept.
So...Brooke and I passed along the disheartening news to Lisa. We were all quite bummed, to say the very least.
But then Lisa got to work. She called her friend Sarah (who we will be staying with whilst in Chicago) to do her magic.
And let me tell you. The combined will and determination of Lisa and Sarah is unstoppable! Lisa got a text today saying that one of Sarah's friends who goes to Columbia scored us some tickets! When Lisa passed along the information, I nearly wept (for joy this time).
Seriously.
OK GO ROCKS MY WORLD!

I can hardly wait! Chicago is only 9 days away...OK Go WILL happen for us in 10 days. Oh, how my life rocks!
hey there gina. it has been a while. after high school everyone goes there separate ways and lose touch. it's sad. but at least we can keep in touch now. thank goodness for the internet.
