But I HATE TO PACK. I seriously hate it so much! It's right up there with Black Friday. I always put it off to the last minute and it makes me feel grumpy to pack up my whole life into boxes. Unpacking ain't a treat either, but it sure beats the boxing up of one's life. My mother knows how much I hate it, and she also knows I have zero motivation for it. She gave me a pep talk yesterday afternoon (which, let's be honest, is when I started.) Then she called me a couple more times last night to check on my progress.
I'm kind of pathetic.
Anyhoo...I did it! (With much encouragement from my roommates and tons of help from my dear friend Chris. Also, the Lord's help, too. I prayed for a better attitude and it came. In the shape of Chris. For real.) -The only things left undone are my clothes hanging in my closet, my bed, and my computer and computer desk. That will happen tomorrow morning before the troops arrive. (Brooke's entire family are coming to help, along with a handful of people from our amazing branch.)
So...see ya when I see ya.
Brooke painting the living room wall(I helped a LOT...that first day...)
Me and Brookey taking a break from painting the living room wall
Some of our stuff...
More of our stuff...(Seriously, does anyone actually enjoy packing?!)
This is Chris twirling in my nearly empty room...My cute little happy attitude!
And...Lisa found this nasty kitty cat sweater...she thought I'd look smashing in it.
My favorite part is that the kitties' tails criss-cross in the shape of a heart.
I've not a clue where she found it, or why she had it in the first place...
It screams my name, yes?
Anyway...this was supposed to be a quick post, telling you I'll be out of the loop for a few days; we won't have internet access until Wednesday at the earliest. (Sometimes this isn't a problem, but I've got birthday pictures to post and Island Park stories to tell! And...it's getting late enough I really can't do those posts just yet.)

AARG! I'm with you on the packing thing! Nothing worse, I tell you. Well, good luck with the unpacking. Hope you love the new place, and be brave during those few days without internet...:)
Oh, how I've been there before. I've moved 12 times since being married!!! Good luck getting everything out and in the new pad. Moving into a new place is so much fun.
I thought when we moved to our house that I'd be done with packing... but now we are finishing our basement so we had to pack everything out and into the garage. Things are moving along speedily but I still am at a loss with my art stuff so buried in the garage. Knowing Gary it will be done by the end of the year if not within the next two months, but still the packing bit is wicked. And the having it packed away part is worse at the moment.
I hate packing, but I love change! I think it will be great to be in a new area :)
You will make good friends where-ever you are. I think I hate un-packing more than packing though.
