Wee Free Men

So...I picked up a handful of books while on holiday in Scotland several months ago. I started reading "The Wee Free Men" by Terry Pratchett on the flight home, but didn't get very far. And once I landed on American soil, there were lots of other things to do, as well as other books to read. I didn't pick "Wee Free Men" up again until last week, several weeks after my roommate Brooke read it. It's a fun story. I just finished it today. I liked it. I bought its sequel "A Hat Full of Sky" in Edinburgh, and I'm eager to read that one as well.

Here it is...

Not exactly one that made me think, like "The Book Thief" did. But it was a fun read, and I know Mr. Pratchett put a lot of thought into it. It's a book about dreams. Sort of. Dreams and reality and everything in between...

Plus, it took me back to the UK...not that my trip was anything like this story, but the way the Nac Mac Feegle (aka Wee Free Men) speak...ah, it took me back, somehow.

Waily, waily!
