I heard the craziest story on the radio as I was getting ready for work this morning.
Seriously.
Quite a freaky story.
Some fellow goes sky diving for the first time on Saturday. As a first-timer, you have to go tandem. Shortly after the chute opens, the guy realizes his jump-master isn't responding. At all.
Turns out his jump-master is...wait for it...dead.
Seriously.
I told you it was crazy.
The story gets better, though. Although the jump-master is a goner (rest in peace), this rookie sky diver somehow lands without dying himself and he tries to revive the jump-master.
This story freaks me out of my gourd because I went sky diving in September 2006 and I had bad dreams before I went. (Nightmares about my chute not opening.) My experience was, in a word, awesome...but since diving, I've felt that I cheated death and I've decided I don't want to tempt fate again.
This story has just strengthened my resolve, thanks...

That's so crazy!!! EEK!
Oh my word! What a story! I was never going to to sky diving....but now it's an ABSOLUTE never!!
What are the chances he croaked between the jump and 10 seconds later when it was time to open the chute? I suspect foul play...
That is crazy, I would totally freak out if that happened to me. I don't know how that guy kept his cool and actually landed himself.
I will be withholding this story from my mother in law, who like me, is crazy afraid of hights and is planning on going tandem sky diving for her 50th birthday this year.
Yeah --- I heard this story too. I always wanted to skydive. However, now that I'm a mommy. I think I might have to wait until they are grown. But, then I'll still have David. So, I better wait until he has passed on. Yes, then I will go. Hmmmm, maybe then I'll be the one who jumped out and didn't make it. Not a bad way to go.
btw, love our names on your sidebar. LOL. That made my day! :)
So I heard the same story, here some extra details... The guy died of a heart attack, the first time sy diver, was a military man and had performed things that were similar and he had been trained in the military to deal with things like reviving someone from death! Still a crazy and unforgettable experience!
What the heck?!?!?!?
