let them eat cake!

So. Last night we had a little get-together to celebrate the birth of 3 terrific people in my life: Lisa, Callie and Cameron. They were all born in October just a few years ago, so I gathered a handful of people who know them (for to know them is to love them) and celebrated with cake.

The company was smashing, and the cake...well, if I say so myself, the cake was terrific...I got the recipe from picky-palate.com.

ALSO, today is my own Mama's birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MAMA! I love you and I'm looking forward to seeing you tomorrow!

Also...going back a couple of days...Dad and Brent came up this way to take care of housing business for when B comes up to BYU-Idaho in the new year. On their way back to Zion (aka, Brigham City, Utah), they stopped off in Idaho Falls for lunch. It was a good time, although lunch was sub-par and the service slow. (Sadly, I think we've written off Smitty's forever more...)
