the weekend past...

Last weekend (yeah, like a whole week ago), I went to Utah (again). Mostly I went for baby Jane's blessing on Sunday...but I decided to head down early to spend time with the fam. To really enjoy the weekend...

Friday I headed to Layton for a 90 minute massage, compliments of Aaron & Amy. (They gave me a coupon for my birthday; how awesome are they?!) Actually, it was only supposed to be a 60 minute massage, but the masseuse must've gotten mixed up, 'cause she kept going. I pretty much floated away from that appointment...

Cool clouds; I had to stop to take a picture on my way to Utah.
(I. LOVE. CLOUDS. Looking down on them is the best part of flying, in case you didn't know)

And then I hung out with Amy & boys. I just love chatting with Amy and chasing down my rascally nephews. So. Much.

Seth's new obsession: cutting paper with his green scissors.
(Click on the pic to see his handiwork--bottom right corner)
PS Seth is posing in this pic; he stayed like that till I took the picture :)

After chasing my scoundrel nephews around the back yard for a while, I headed up to Brigham to chillax with Brent. He's a good egg.

On Saturday, I went to the Logan Temple with Mom, Dad and Brent. Visited Gramma Rigby for a bit, then came back to Brigham to make dinner (Zuppa Toscana) and chill with the family. Kinda relaxing, which is what we like.

And then on Sunday, this little darling was blessed and given a name:

Jane Gracie

OH, how we love that little girl! Vance did a beautiful job with the blessing, and he and Abby really did have a lot of support. (It was so awesome to watch Dad and ALL my brothers take part in the blessing!) Then it was back home to visit with the fam and play with Jackson and Seth some more.

On an unrelated note, I've decided to NOT play the "dress up for Halloween" game this year. I don't want people to jeer at me or anything, but ever since I grew up, I have not loved this holiday. I hate figuring out "what to be" and then coming up with the stuff to become...something else. And I don't love the big parties where I only know a handful of people.

Calvin's always got the answer...

So this year, I'm going to stay home. I'll purchase candy to give away to the chilluns in the neighborhood who venture my way. Actually, if I get to stay home, watch scary movies and hand out candy, it's a lovely holiday. (And by "scary" I mean NOT SCARY. Sort of intense-ish movies, like "Wait Until Dark." "Beetlejuice." And it's been years since I've seen "Mr. Boogity," but that's my kind of scary.)

Just so you know--- you stole my post about Halloween. Usually, I look forward to dressing up and partying...but for some reason I have no desire this year. Maybe we should stay home together. :-)
