I. Love. Water(slides).

A few weeks ago, Jami and I headed to Heise to go swimming.
I had never been before, and was totally under the impression
that it was a mini water park.
It turns out, I was under the wrong impression.
It's simply a pool.
Out in the middle of nature.
With a really awesome water slide (350 feet long).

Over at Heise, they like to keep track of how many times you go down.
(Translation: you pay so much per time.)
Jami and I, being the rational adults that we are,
decided to purchase the unlimited ticket.
Which was a good call, because I lost track...

(I told you "water park" was the wrong word)

What makes this slide extra cool is lying down on your back
as you go, and seeing the shadows of pine trees cast above you.

Towards the end of July, I went to the pool in BC
with Abby, Jane, Janel and Marshall.
The BC pool also has a water slide,
and both Marshall and Jane loved it.
(BC Pool Rule: kids under a certain height can't go down
unless they're accompanied by an adult.)

Just look at the good time we had:

Cute cousins, Marshall & Jane

This kid smiled the entire time we were there...

Me and Jane:
started out twirling, ended up falling with style...

Jane the Water Baby

Holy crow, I think I'm getting close (ish) to catching up on this whole blog thingy!
Still gotta post about Janie's birthday date,
hiking the Palisades,
and the Josh Groban concert,
plus whatever unfolds this upcoming weekend...

it doesn't look that crowded either, here in summer the pool has 10 people for every square foot it seems.

I'm always a wuss at waterparks. not much of a waterslide guy. I'm more of the relax-in-the-hot-tub guy.
