Hello, "New Year"

I'm not quite sure how two weeks have gone by without a single post.

Apparently I have nothing to say?

That's so unlike me...

Honestly, nothing much has happened in my life, and I hate posting boring stuff. (I guess that's not stopping me from posting today though. Huh...)

It's been a very...snow-free winter. Some days, it's even been downright springish. (Hello, upper 40-degree-weather! What are you doing here in January?) Other days it's been...ah...downright frigid. (Yesterday morning, it was 2* when I drove to work. Ouch, huh?)

Wow. I've resorted to talking about the weather. (Think, Gina. THINK!)

I've been doing pretty well on my 2012 resolutions. (That's something!) They are as follows:

1. Find the positive in every situation. (This one will be a work in progress throughout my entire life, I feel quite certain. But! There have been a few times where I could've griped openly, and I just removed myself from the situation and kept my mouth shut! That's progress, people!)
2. Be aware of those around you and mindful of their needs: serve with a smile. (This one kind of goes hand-in-hand with resolution #1, and I'm really trying.)
3. Drink! More! Water!
4. Fruits and veggies EVERY DAY. (The veggies are easy, but I'm picky when it comes to fruit. Especially since it's winter and lots of the good stuff isn't in season.)
5. DAILY SCRIPTURE STUDY. (I am DETERMINED to keep up on this one!)

Also, this year I'm participating in a photo-a-day challenge on Instagram. It's been fun, I must say. (I kind of love Instagram; it's my favorite app on my iPod touch.) I'm kind of hopeful that this #photoaday challenge will go beyond January...?

Mom says I smiled like that for about a week--just in time for family pictures.
She only ordered one picture. And gave it to me.
