This Happened (in July)

I took an unexpected sabbatical from blogging this past summer. It was unplanned, and I'm not even sure why it happened. I think I just wanted a break from it? You know...to simplify and whatnot?

Whatever.

The thing is, I didn't take a break because I had nothing to talk about.

Stuff happened.

Mostly it was just the same old day-to-day stuff, with a handful of Utah trips thrown into the mix. Softball. A mini vacation with my awesome mama. A Neil Diamond concert. August happened. I have a life, you guys.

But I digress...

Towards the end of July, Aaron and Amy celebrated their 10th anniversary by traveling to Seattle, so Mom and I babysat their awesome boys while they were away. We decided to show the boys a good time, and we took them to Hogle Zoo one Friday, and it was fun!

Let me show you what I mean...

Me and Misters Emmett and Seth
This was the best shot I could get of all three of them...

Yeah. Taking kids to the zoo is way too cool!
Jackson was quite entranced with the seals and sea lions...
This boy! That face!
Seth spontaneously pulled this face when he saw the grizzly bear poo...
(Look for it. Go ahead.)
This melted my heart!!!!!
In the giraffe house. Seth knew he was being watched. :)
Emmett's favorite animal is the giraffe. He was totally enthralled in the giraffe house. So cute!

I think Emmett was looking at the sloths...

Emmett fell asleep in the front of the stroller, and his poor head was bobbing around.
I totally rescued him...and totally loved the snuggle time it provided.
The train ride was maybe the best part for Sethington...
Seth and his baby harbor seal Mom bought for him.
Seth loves him and calls him Flipper.
Jackson was (is) a big fan of huckleberry popcorn!
I cannot fully verbally express how much bats freak me out.
And there were sooooo many of them!

Big smiles from Seth as we were leaving. He loves Hogle Zoo, I dare say...

Every time I look at this picture, I want to nibble the heck out of Emmett and his cheekies...
Good grief, I love these boys of mine...

According to Einstein, time is relative - what's four months when put against the Universe? Great pics
