uninhabitable...

Oh wait...I live here.

Seriously, this little video clip doesn't even do it justice...

I was supposed to work a full 8 hours today. 5 of my clients canceled. The reason is singular: the weather is awful today. We woke up to several inches of snow. I didn't want to go into work, but I did it anyway. And then...more than half of my clients canceled anyway. Oi. It's kind of a bummer, because if I don't see clients, I don't get paid. (Something about fraud...?)

Whatever. That's not even my biggest concern.

Nope.

I'm a wee bit apprehensive about the drive home tomorrow after work; if this nastiness continues, it seems I'll be stuck in Idaho until, at least, Christmas Eve morning. Not so depressing if I were married, or if my fam lived here too. Alas, they are in Brigham City (where it's also yucky weather). Which is in Utah. Which is, in good weather, about 2 hours and 15 minutes away. I'm not a big fan of driving in snow. "Safety first!" is my motto.

Anyway...let's try to put a positive spin on this.

Give me a minute...

Okay. Here goes: 1) Lisa swept my car windows off this morning. Very kind of her. 2) Brother Jenkins brought his snow blower over this morning and attacked the heavy snowfall for us just as Brooke was headed out the door to shovel. It would've taken her about a week to shovel the driveway. So yeah, Noel Jenkins in the Hero of the 21st Century. For real. 3) It looks like I'll have me a white Christmas after all.

So yeah...I got home from work by 1:30. The drive home was all windy and slushy and just no darn good. I thought to myself, "If I didn't live here, I'd call this barren wasteland uninhabitable."

Oh well...I've got plenty of time to pack and get everything ready for my possible southward sojourn tomorrow. Right?

And now...a few pictures:

This one's for you, Jeans!
(I call this one "Gina Squared")

Our hero, Brother Jenkins!

Hey thanks for the pic!! I can hardly stand how cute we are! Also, I second the nomination for Bro. Jenkins as the Hero of the 21st Century! Someone did my driveway too and I have a sneaky suspicion it was him. I'm pretty much in love with him and his snow blower.

Don't forget about the mighty EMT cousin of yours right there. I'd post his number, but I'm afraid he'd just get a bunch of pranks. OK - you talked me into it. Sean's number is 208-403-9279.

Seriously, I know. I am in Preston, ID right now. And it was yukky this morning too. Be careful!!

That's not even Sean's number, but anytime you need some muscle I'd be happy to send him over and you've got my number Right? He's good for it, we had about a 3 foot snow drift over our mailbox and he had it dug out in no time.

Don't fall for Monica's fake numbering. Monica - I, too, have seen Seinfeld, and know your trickery.

Gina. It looks like you can't count on anyone. Wish we were there to help bail you out, when you need it. You may have to just journey north.

Yes, journey north! Way less snow in Alaska. Not.

Great idea, Bob.

Wait until summer-go on a cruise. All you can eat all the time!
